Dear VEYM Members and Benefactors,

As we approach Thanksgiving, we are reminded once again of the extraordinary good that we can accomplish together. For the seventh year, the VEYM National Executive Committee joyfully continues our Giving Tuesday tradition — a cherished opportunity to live out our faith through charity and solidarity with those most in need.

Over the past six years, your generosity has helped us raise more than $150,000, with 100% of proceeds donated directly to charity in VEYM’s name. This outpouring of love has reached countless lives around the world — and this year, we invite you to extend that same love and hope to some of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Giving Tuesday 2025 for Charity – December 2, 2025

In union with Pope Leo XIV’s invitation to rekindle missionary zeal in today’s world, VEYM is dedicating this year’s Giving Tuesday to supporting the vital missionary work of Fr. Lê Quốc Hưng, SDB, a Salesian priest serving in Tonj, South Sudan.

For over a decade, Fr. Hưng has brought Christ’s love to children and families living amid poverty, war, and displacement. His mission provides food, education, and spiritual care for hundreds of children every day, offering not only nourishment for the body but also hope for the soul.

Your Giving Tuesday donation will help:

  • Provide daily meals and clean water for Sudanese children in need
  • Support local schools, teachers, and catechists serving impoverished communities
  • Sustain mission outposts that offer education, healthcare, and faith formation
  • Build a future of dignity and peace through the compassionate work of the Church

Through this campaign, we have the blessed opportunity to stand in solidarity with Fr. Hưng and the Sudanese community, bearing witness to the Gospel through our works of mercy.
